How Much is Business Consulting?
How much is Business Consulting and will it be worth it? Well, much like Goldilocks and the three bears, it can often be too expensive, not expensive enough or sometimes just right.
When going to buy Business Consulting, most people fear the expense on investing formally in advice for their business, truthfully because it is expensive. It also should be expensive, now stay with me because any good business consultant should be able to generate returns for you and your business, which far outweigh the financial cost of consulting. This is why good Business Consulting is often a bit expensive. There are occasions where the price is lower for consulting or in some cases free, however generally in my experience, you get what you pay for.
The real issue in Business Consulting is not the price, it’s whether you get what you pay for.
No one cares if it is expensive, and no one cares if it is cheap, as long as it gets the returns for the business and the business owner, that it should. This is why at Keystone, we employ a very unique fee structure in that, we do not charge our full fee until you hit the target you wish to hit with us. Simple really. And if we are really blunt about it, our job as a consultant is to grow your business, so why not be financially invested in, just like you are?
This also means that we need to be exclusive when working with people & businesses, and work only with ones which we are very confident we can grow. Lastly, if our job is to grow your business, and we firmly believe we can grow your business, then we should definitely do everything in our power TO grow your business. That is why we minimize the impact on the cashflow for your business upfront, to support it’s growth long term and get paid in full after you hit the targets we set out together. It’s simple really, we have a financial horse in the race: aim to maximize the returns for you as efficiently and effectively as possible, so we can get paid.
If you are working with a consultant who does not do this, it really begs the question, are they sitting at the same table as you?
